Suin est un village du Charolais, juché au sommet d'une montagne granitique isolée, à 593 m d'altitude, aux confins du Charolais, du Beaujolais et du Brionnais. Une particularité qui a valu à Suin d'être qualifié par l'historien et archiviste Raymond Oursel de « plus beau belvédère du vieux pays éduen ».
